The Shotgun Tournament format is Captain’s Choice.
Plan to arrive at 7:45am for check-in. Announcements at 7:55.
Teams will be assigned based on handicaps, and in doing so hopefully introduce you to new golf friends!
Tee off is 8:15am with all golfers teeing off at the same time from different holes (to be assigned by the committee chairpeople), and hopefully be finishing around the same time.
Each player will drive the ball, and the team captain (also assigned) will then choose the best drive for each hole. The rest of the golfers in the group will pick up their ball and move it to the chosen spot, placing their ball within one club length of the best shot, and they will all hit again. This process is repeated until someone knocks the ball in the hole.
4-person teams must use four drives from each player, and 3 person teams must uses 5 drives per player.
Playing in the tournament will count toward total number of rounds played at the end of the year. Birdies and chip-ins do not count for league prizes.
If you wish to participate, please use your SignUp Genius invite to add your name to the 8:15 tee time slot. The number of players will be capped at 72, so get your reservations in early!

A few days before the event, teams and rules will be sent out.
