“Targeting a Cure” Event
Our member Sarah Lennon is hosting a "Targeting a Cure" fundraiser in October to support the Michael J. Fox Foundation (https://www.michaeljfox.org/ ) to raise money for Parkinson's Disease (PD) research tofind a cure!
The Targeting a Cure fundraiser is a simple and fun one. $100 registration fee gets you an afternoon of golf fun at TopGolf in Loudoun County and lunch buffet. (NOTE: after September 30th the registration fee increases.) It's $50 for a non-playing spectator. Each bay holds 6 people so grab some friends and join us!
Rest assured that 100% of funds raised by the Targeting a Cure events goes directly to research, since the MJFF has a generous donor who covers all costs associated with running the fundraisers. (amazing, right?!?)
Registration just opened and this is a link to the website:https://give.michaeljfox.org/event/2026-targeting-a-cure/e798143# Click on Register, then Join a Team and search for "Mormor's Minions.” If you are not able or interested in playing but would still like to support the cause, you can use the same link above but click on Donate rather than Register. You will then see "Would you like to credit this donation to a specific fundraiser or team (optional)?" and you can search for our team name.
We hope you will join the fun and be part of "Mormor's Minions." PLEASE mark your calendars for Sunday, October 18th, 2 pm. This is a nationwide event with 10 locations. This is the inaugural event in Ashburn and we would love for it to be a HUGE success! Each location competes in scores and fundraising with the other locations.
